The story of the apartment!
Sněžné jámy (Śnieżne Kotły in Polish), massive glacial craters , offer a beautiful view and give a very wild impression in winter and summer alike. The crater on the northern slope – 550 m long, 400 m wide and 300 m deep – is called Malá Sněžná (Little Snow Crater). On the eastern slope there is an 800-metre-long, 600-metre-wide and 300-metre-high crater called Velká Sněžná (Big Snow Crater). The small Śnieżne Stawki glacial lakes are at the bottom of the craters. You will also be pleasantly surprised by the beautiful views they provide.

Secret tip
Even if you are tempted to descend into the craters, don't do it. The terrain is unstable, there is often snow and the craters have already claimed several lives. It is much more interesting to plan a trip from the Polish side and climb the ridge from the other side.

Description
The one-bedroom, 67-m2 apartment is located on the third floor of the Skialp building and the south-facing orientation of the main living spaces ensures sunshine throughout the day. Both living spaces have access to a private balcony with beautiful views and outdoor seating. The interior of the apartment provides plenty of built-in storage space and each apartment also has access to a communal wellness area with a Finnish sauna, separate cubicles for storing skis and bikes and the resort garden.

Rokytnice nad Jizerou is a mountain town with a full range of services and is one of the best ski resorts in the Czech Republic. The town is also the uncrowned king of Czech ski mountaineering and will delight cross-country hikers with both rugged terrain and groomed trails.
The name of the SKIALP apartment building celebrates Rokytnice nad Jizerou as the mecca of Czech ski mountaineering. Local landmarks such as Lysá hora, the Kotel peak and other places offer many nice trips – from those for ski mountaineering beginners, which run along the slopes, to more demanding tours along the ridges of the Krkonoše Mountains. The individual apartments in the Skialp building are named after interesting places that can be visited on ski tours of the area.
