The story of the apartment!
Kotel is a magical local peak that is even higher (1435 metres) than Lysá hora. In the past it was also called Krkonoš or Kokrháč. If you go to the ridge, the route runs past Kotel. We recommend having a look at the Kotelní jámy craters from a respectful distance or visiting the several historic military bunkers in the area. The ascent and descent to and from the peak from the side of Rokytnice is moderate, but unfortunately it is located in the first zone of the Krkonoše Mountains National Park.

Secret tip
As Kotel is one of the steepest and most frequent avalanche slopes in the country, resist the tempting and challenging descent. Not only is it forbidden, it is also closely guarded; the slope has claimed more than one victim. The best view is from the Harrachov Stones (Harrachovy kameny).

Description
This three-room 74-m2 apartment with two bedrooms and bathrooms is located on the first floor of the Skialp building. The south-facing interior of the living room has access to a spacious 41-m2 private terrace with a secluded outdoor space set in the beautiful mountain landscape. All rooms have access to a private garden located on the east side of the building. The interior of the apartment provides plenty of built-in storage space and each apartment also has access to a communal wellness area with a Finnish sauna, separate cubicles for storing skis and bikes and the resort garden.

Rokytnice nad Jizerou is a mountain town with a full range of services and is one of the best ski resorts in the Czech Republic. The town is also the uncrowned king of Czech ski mountaineering and will delight cross-country hikers with both rugged terrain and groomed trails.
The name of the SKIALP apartment building celebrates Rokytnice nad Jizerou as the mecca of Czech ski mountaineering. Local landmarks such as Lysá hora, the Kotel peak and other places offer many nice trips – from those for ski mountaineering beginners, which run along the slopes, to more demanding tours along the ridges of the Krkonoše Mountains. The individual apartments in the Skialp building are named after interesting places that can be visited on ski tours of the area.
