The Hanč and Vrbata memorial as well as the Vrbatova bouda itself will certainly be a frequent destination or stop on skialp hikes. The memorial offers a beautiful view and along the way you will pass by Kotel, which also offers a truly breathtaking view. Vrbatova bouda is a nice place for a short break and a cup of tea. From here you can continue on to Labská or to Medvědín and Mísečky.

Secret tip

Hanč and Vrbata are probably the most famous victims of the Krkonoše Mountains. Their tragic story is well known and was repeated many times: the help was so close and yet so far away. Install the Záchranka mobile app, it saves time for Mountain Rescue Service: in an emergency, you don’t have to explain where you are (which you often don’t even know); just press a button, and the rescuers will know your exact location. In foggy conditions carefully follow the posts along the way and be careful.

Description

Three-room apartment with a 3+kk layout, located on the second floor of the Skialp building. Its floor area is 77.8 m2 and features two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The south-facing interior of the living room provides an access to a 11 m2 terrace with private seating in a setting of beautiful mountain nature. The apartment's interior provides ample built-in storage space. Each apartment also includes a reserved space for storing skis or bicycles, access to the shared spa with Finnish sauna and entry to the resort's garden.

The name of the SKIALP apartment house celebrates Rokytnice nad Jizerou as the mecca of Czech ski mountaineering. Local landmarks such as Lysá hora, the Kotel peak and other places offer a variety of beautiful trips starting with beginner friendly ski mountaineering routes that lead on the ski slopes to more demanding ridge tours across the Krkonoše Mountains. Individual apartments in the Skialp building are named after interesting places that can be visited during ski mountaineering tours in the surrounding area.
