By the Chapel ("U Kapličky"), there are city cross-country ski trails that are regularly groomed and are within walking distance. The downside is their orientation in the terrain that goes uphill and downhill repeatedly. From here, it’s also possible to cross over to the meadows below Studenov or connect to the Krkonošská magistrála by hiking up to Ručičky or Studenov.

Secret tip
The Chapel of Panny Marie is one of the most famous and oldest chapels in Rokytnice nad Jizerou. It stands on the hillside of Kostelní vrch. The original structure from 1724 was wooden, but in 1768 it was demolished and replaced by the current brick chapel.

There are hundreds of additional kilometres in the nearby area, including most of the best known and most beautiful starting points of Krkonoše and the Jizera Mountains. Individual apartments in the Nordic building are named after these cross-country skiing locations.
